I nearly did my thesis on this play, and only didn't because I didn't like any of Christopher Fry's other plays nearly as much.
With the exception of The Boy with a Cart (1938), all of my non-Lady Christopher Fry is in boxes, but I have good memories of A Sleep of Prisoners (1951), which is a sort of dream-quest mystery play, and The Firstborn (1948), with a no longer quite human, God-demented Moses.
