Person 1: Have you seen Troy?
Person 2: The movie? No.
Person 1: Oh, it's an excellent movie, you have to see it. I've seen it two times and I'd watch it a third.
*pause*
Person 2: Brad Pitt?
Person 1: Yeah, that's why.
Person 2: I hear Hector's good too.
Person 1: And it's very gory.

*grins* I got no objection to vapid gym conversation. I love listening to them. Were you to go to gym with me (which is clearly impractical, but never mind) I'm sure I would be starting as many vapid gym conversations as I could think of. In between bouts of scholarly discussion of literature and art history, of course.
